Strange Attractors combines a classical string quartet with a world music trio. The two groups first confront and then explore each other's tendencies. The quartet begins to explore improvisation and non-Western rhythms and intonation. The world music trio explores Western pitch and rhythm. The work is in 6 movements and lasts 36 minutes.
