Lights On! with the Bay Atlantic Symphony

The Joy of the Season Abounds with the Eighth Annual Bay Atlantic Symphony Holiday Concert Series -- December 7 and December 8

Guests will relish in this holiday tradition – two enchanting Bay Atlantic Symphony seasonal concerts showcasing the classical music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Gustav Holst, Franz Schubert, Russell Steinberg, Arthur Harris, Adolfe Adam, and Johann Strauss II. 

Conducted by Music Director Jed Gaylin, the concerts will take place on Saturday, December 7 at 3pm at the Guaracini Performing Arts Center, located at Rowan College of South Jersey – Cumberland Campus, 3322 College Drive in Vineland, NJ, and on Sunday, December 8 at 2pm at the Stockton Performing Arts Center (PAC), located at Stockton University, 101 Vera King Ferris Drive in Galloway, NJ.  

Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday performances are: $30 (adult) and $20 (children), plus a per ticket service fee. Tickets for the Saturday concert may be purchased at: www.bayatlanticsymphony.org. This holiday spectacular will charm the audience with classical favorites including: Holst’s Saint Paul’s Suite, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Strauss’ Pizzicato Polka,and Russell Steinberg’s Light’s On! A Hanukkah Medley as well as Schubert’s Ave Maria, Adam’s O Holy Night with magnetic tenor Andrew Sauvageau and Harris’ A Medley of Christmas Carols.  

A crowd-pleasing favorite returns for another concert performance – the Children’s Chorus, which is comprised of 40 school age students from throughout South Jersey for the concert at the Guaracini Performing Arts Center, and 20 school age students for the Stockton performance.  The Children’s Chorus is open to all students ages five to eighteen.  

Topping off the holiday performance bonanza will be two carol sing-alongs.  The orchestra will elegantly lead the first series with the Children’s Chorus and the spirited second series will be performed gathered around the piano led by the Symphony’s Maestro Jed Gaylin, with audience members welcome to join.
